Art Alexakis, frontman and songwriter of ’90s pop-rockers Everclear, has announced a new album called Sun Songs, his first record released outside the banner of his longtime band. It’s out October 11. Alexakis has also announced a tour of U.S., U.K. and Ireland tour dates in support of the album. He’ll kick it off in Evanston, IL on October 8th, and wrap up in Dublin, IE on October 20th.

Simple Plan and State Champs have announced a co-headliner slated to kick off this November with support from We The Kings. VIP tickets are now on sale. General tickets will become available this Friday, August 16th, at 10:00 a.m. local time.

Jack Black recently revealed that he had recorded a new collaboration between Tenacious D and Jack White. The two acts posed for a few memorable photos, and during a recent Tenacious D show in Nashville, let slip that they met up with White at his home in Nashville to record a new song. The collaboration will be appropriately titled “Jack Gray,” and the recordings will be revealed at a later date.  

Funko has finally nailed down the classic horror icon & industrial metals, Rob Zombie into their collection of Pop! Figures. Zombie excitedly took to his Instagram account to make the announcement official. Zombie also revealed when we can expect the new film along with a new poster and a special event.

Canadian musician Peaches opened her first solo art exhibition, titled Whose Jizz Is This?, at the Kunstverein in Hamburg, Germany on Friday. The show runs until Oct. 20 and features sculpture, photography, film, text, music, live performance, and more, according to a press release on the artist’s website.

Dinosaur Jr. have announced a new series of reissues in connection with the London label Cherry Red. The reissues include newly remastered versions of 1991’s Green Mind, 1993’s Where You Been, 1994’s Without a Sound, 1997’s Hand It Over. Each vinyl copy includes an updated booklet and lyric sheet, with new liner notes and derived from exclusive interviews with J Mascis. The new collection also comes with plenty of B-sides, rarities, and previously unreleased material; it’s all available September 27.

The Cure are continuing their post-Rock n’ Roll Hall of Fame induction victory lap with the announcement of a double concert film box set scheduled to drop this fall. The set, titled 40 LIVE – CURÆTION-25 + ANNIVERSARY contains two concerts recorded in 2018 while the band was celebrating its 40th anniversary. The box set drops on October 18 and can be pre-ordered here.

“Bad Guy” hits No. 1 on Billboard’s Alternative Songs airplay chart, making Billie Eilish just the third female soloist to have claimed more than one leader in the list’s 31-year history. Eilish earns her second Alternative Songs No. 1, after “Bury a Friend” reigned for two weeks starting in May. She joins the elite company of Alanis Morissette and Sinead O’Connor, who notched three and two No. 1s on the chart, respectively. Eilish is the youngest solo woman (age 17) at the time of snagging multiple Alternative Songs rulers.

The Intersect festival in Las Vegas has announced the first round of its lineup for their inaugural show. The announcement is highlighted by headlining performances from Foo Fighters and Beck. Other performers include Brandi Carlile, Flying Lotus, Spoon, CHVRCHES, Jamie XX, Leon Bridges, and Unknown Mortal Orchestra.  The festival is scheduled to take place on December 6-7 in Las Vegas.
