Ryan Adams has been accused of engaging in abusive and manipulative behavior with young female artists he was ostensibly mentoring in a new report from The New York Times. The women who spoke publicly about their experiences with Adams include singer-songwriter Phoebe Bridgers, actress Mandy Moore (who is Adams’ ex-wife), and “Ava,” a 20-year-old former professional musician who says Adams exchanged sexual messages and exposed himself to her on video calls when she was underage. Adams, through his attorney, has denied all claims. Ryan Adams has responded to the Times report in a series of tweets. “To anyone I have ever hurt, however unintentionally, I apologize deeply and unreservedly,” his response read in part. “But the picture that this article paints is upsettingly inaccurate.”

To celebrate the ten-year anniversary of their 2009 album Crack the Skye, Mastodon are going on tour as “special guests” of headliners Coheed and Cambria. Mastodon will perform Crack the Skye in full at each stop of the The Unheavenly Skye Tour, while Coheed and Cambria’s sets will consist primarily of tracks from their 2018 album The Unheavenly Creatures (hence the name of the tour). Every Time I Die will support as the opening act.

Father John Misty is teaming up with Jason Isbell and the 400 Unit for a national tour. The co-headlined dates run from June 6, when the tour kicks off in San Diego, to June 29 when it’s set to wrap in Tulsa. Jade Bird and Erin Rae will be opening on select dates.

Stereolab have announced their first North American show in 11 years. The legendary French-English band teased an upcoming reunion in December and subsequently were announced as part of the bill at Primavera Sound in Barcelona, which kicks off on May 30. Now the band has been confirmed for this fall’s Desert Daze festival in Lake Perris, California. The festival is set for October 10-13 of this year. Belle and Sebastian have announced a short run of North American dates for this summer. Support on the tour will come from Ex Hex and Men I Trust at different shows. $1 from all tickets sold on the tour will go to charity (with the exception of the Pittsburgh show at the Andy Warhol Museum).

This year’s Record Store Day ambassadors are Pearl Jam, which means that they’ll be doing some promo in the months leading up to this year’s event, which takes place on 4/13. Past ambassadors for RSD have included Run The Jewels, St. Vincent, Metallica, and Dave Grohl.

Car Seat Headrest have announced an expanded set of dates for their 2019 North American tour. They’ve been touring since this past October, when they did a month-long run of shows throughout Europe. The band are on a break right now, but are set to kick off the next leg of the tour in Boston on Valentine’s Day. The tour was originally set to wrap in early March, but will now be continuing into the summer. The new shows start this June at the College Street Music Hall in New Haven, CT, with dates in Ohio, New York, Tennessee and more.

Beck has announced a North American summer tour co-headlined with Cage The Elephant, featuring Spoon. The announcement comes after last Sunday’s Grammy Awards, where Beck won Best Alternative Music Album. Beck appears on the Cage The Elephant song “Night Running” from Cage’s forthcoming album Social Cues, which will be out on April 19.

Dinosuar Jr.’s 1994 song “Over Your Shoulder” has become popular in Japan for some reason that no one has been able to quite figure out yet. As Billboardreports, the Without A Sound track was the top-viewed video last week with almost 8.1 million views.
