Following the release of the debut song “What Kind of Man” Florence + The Machine releases her second single and video “St Jude” off her third studio album ‘How Big, How Blue, How Beautiful.’
St Jude compared to her previous work is a little bit more relaxed and intimate. There’s no heavy production or choir assisted chorus. Its a real treat to be able to see the artist in a more vulnerable state.
The video, directed by Vincent Haycock, is in a single shot and follows Florence through romantic encounters before she falls down in adoration of a flock of birds.
“It’s obviously about relationships, but it’s also about Florence traveling through our version of the Divine Comedy,” Haycock said in a press release. He also said the video depicts “the first layer of Hell.” Check out the just released video below!
