Lana Del Rey has been in the studio working on her third studio album since the underwhelming release of her sophomore 2014 album “Ultraviolence.” Lana has stated that her upcoming album, titled “Honeymoon“, will be much like her first album “Born To Die,” which got tremendous reviews and was certified platinum in March of last year.
Lana has also been keeping busy, writing and performing the title track for Tim Burtons new film ‘Big Eyes‘, as well as writing and performing another track for the film titled ‘I Can Fly.’ ‘Big Eyes‘ was nominated for Best Original Song at the 72nd Golden Globe Awards but was beat by John Legend & Common for their original song ‘Glory‘ for the film Selma.
Lana has also planned a 17-date tour for the summer of 2015 kicking off in May in Woodlands, TX and ending on June 16th in West Palm Beach, FL. Courtney Love will also be joining Lana for the first 8 shows of the tour. Seems the tour will end just in time for Lana to release her third album, and possibly plan an even bigger tour for 2016.
Lana Del Rey is at the peak of her career with a new album and tour on its way, its no surprise her name is everywhere you look.
